[dropcap]M[/dropcap] y favorite place to roadtrip in California is Palm Springs. Everything about the desert heat, boutique hotels, cafes, botanical gardens and pools are the perfect vacation. We recently headed to PS for a day trip. I had seen photos of Moorten Botanical Garden and wanted to check it out. Glad I did. I bought 4 gorgeous succulents for $20! Much more affordable than the shops in LA.
Afterward we grabbed brunch at the V Palm Springs Elixir bar just across the street. I swear by their lobster avocado toast and pastries. They have plenty of poolside lounging for hotel guests and Elixir guests. Since I was there to shoot an outfit for my blog the majority of our day consisted of shooting. I had been wanting to see the infamous “pink door” house in Palm Springs for awhile. In all the years I’ve been to Palm Springs I’ve never found the time to visit. It was worth the quick photo op to see the house.
The feel of my printed boho mini dress really tied into the decor of the pink door house. The balloons were an added novelty to go with the playfulness of the palm trees and pink door. This dress is on my musts list of clothing under $30 for summer. Some of the dresses I’ve added to my shop. It’s hard for me to spend a ton of money on trends or seasonal pieces I won’t get use out of year around anymore. Now I aim to find good deals: For $17.99 I love the casualness and comfortability of this dress for summer. If you love dresses as much as I do you may also like this fruit printed dress or this yellow dress. Both steals!
If you have any dress recommendations or bargains on clothing I’d love for you to share them in the comments section below.
Happy beginning of summer! xo
